Philanthropist Wallis Annenberg Selling Frederick Fisher House in Malibu Colony For $39 Million

New, 13 comments

Big-time philanthropist Wallis Annenberg bought this beachfront house in the chic and gated Malibu Colony in 2006 for $22.75 million, then hired architect Frederick Fisher (with whom she'd worked on the Annenberg Community Beach House) to redo the place. The result is a pretty spectacular, 8,400-square-foot dwelling with four bedrooms, a lovely master suite with a terrace, and 70 feet of ocean frontage, all with views, views, views! Huge sliding glass doors capitalize on those vistas and the outdoor spaces include a deck, a lap pool, and a fire pit. The house was rumored to be on the market in April 2013 for $49 million. Now it's definitely up for sale, but without a price. Variety says the ask is a pricechopped $39 million.
